Ds had eye surgery on Friday to correct his crossed eyes. This is after a year of glasses and patching. The doctor said that about 20% of kids need a second surgery. I noticed last night that ds's eyes are crossing again, but we don't go back to the dr until Wednesday. Will he definitely need more surgery?

I had surgery at age 5 for a lazy eye which was causing significant double vision. The surgery made it a lot better, but the eye still drifts sometimes, especially when I'm tired. I don't need another surgery as it doesn't really affect me all that much, but it's not perfect.

My dd had 2 surgeries for lazy eye and its still there. Dr also had told us before the first surgery that 20% of cases need repeat surgeries. I'd love to know who your dr is...if you don't mind to pm me.
