my 9 month old is biting me while he nurses what to do? he bit and cut me open I am in so much pain. how do I get him to stop

Right when I feel my baby begin to bite, I quickly stick my finger in her mouth to break suction and pull her off. Usually When they bite, it's a sign that they aren't really hungry.

Don't startle, scream out (as much as you may want to scream OW) or give an exciting reaction, because then he may think it is a game and want to try again. Instead, try firmly saying "no" the next time he does it and end the feeding. (obviously finish later if he is hungry, it's a little early to be trying the go to bed without dinner routine lol). He should get the message quickly that biting mommy is not acceptable, and also does not get a fun response.
