I'm considering starting a business selling exclusive educational toys for kids, not the typical like Educational Insights, Learning Resources, or Lakeshore. Mindware toys is one example of the type of products I'd like to stock. Any suggestions of wholesalers or companies I can contact, or where I can find wholesalers?

Yes- go to the next toy convention (check the convention center websites who are near you). There will be product lines and distributors who want your business. Make a beautiful business card and present well.
You need to have the $$ and space to buy wholesale amounts.
Good luck!

Toy conventions to check out: Astra, PlayCon, Toy Fair. Just off the top of my head. There are others.
Also, you should look into the JWE convention as advertised here.
