I'd love to buy a deep freezer, basically to store cakes, cookies, kugels - it shouldn't have the freezer burns. As well as more space so I can stock up before yom tov and other times.
what do I have to know? is it a frost-free or manual defrost?

I went with manual as it was cheaper, available in a larger largest size, and minimal parts to have to worry about breaking so no need for warranty, service repairs, etc. Also supposed to keep food longer. I find mine can go years without needing to defrost....maybe every 3 years or so I need to? I went with Kenmore - Sears brand - on sale.
