PLEASE SUGGEST A NICE MENU AND INCLUDE RECIPES.

Do you want sit down or buffet?

If buffet, I would do sesame peanut thai noodles, grilled chicken (maybe over a basic lettuce salad?), sliced up selection of kugels (yerushalmi, potato etc), pumpkin muffins, maybe a sliced steak salad of some kind, onion chicken schnitzel (basically uses frenchs onions instead of breadcrumbs). Desserts: Sliced selection of bar cookies- blondies, brownies, raspberry bars etc. Nice selection of wine. I would avoid chulent if you want something really nice, but that is just me.
Make the table look beautiful using your best china, wineglasses etc. Put up some pics of him through the years to decorate the table.

Peanut thai noodles:
1/3 C soy sauce
1/3 C peanut butter
1/4 C water
1/4 C honey (or brown sugar)
2 Tb rice vinegar
2 Tb sesame oil (or olive oil if you don't have sesame)
3 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp salt

Mix over the fire until it's creamy. Pour over noodles and add 1/2 C chopped green onions and 1/4 C chopped peanuts.

Pumpkin muffins (I top these with pumpkin seeds for added effect):
2 Cups sugar
3/4 Cup oil
4 eggs
1 can of Pumpkin
1 tsp salt
2 Cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon

~20 minutes

180'C

24 muffins

Onion Chicken:
Dredge cutlets in honey mustard dressing, crunch up frenchs onions and coat like with schnitzel

Steak salad:

ooo I love making menus!!
not sure what style meals you have. but this is what I would do
I would have ready on the table, a lot of little salads like
-beet salad-tomato salad-guacamole-cabbage salad- lettuce salad- pllus chummus, eggplant, olive dip, pickles, tomato dip, any other dip you could think of
and then have two types of fish like regular gefilte or mexican style gefilte, a salmon, maybe mock crab cakes?

for the main
Some sort of meat dish, like a grilled london broil served over lettuce, (great recipe in Kosher By Design (green)
choice of shnitzle and grilled chicken cutlets (Fresh and Easy has a GREAT rosemary chicken cutlet with a great sauce)
maybe a deli platter- (exp but very convenient and always a fav among men)
potato kugel, string beans, a sweet kugel (apple, butternut sqaush)sesame broccoli, some sort of room temp pasta (sesame noodles, pesto noodles)
