I did NOT know that bikur cholim was not social - I heard a shiur in which the rabbi said that you actualy have to help the choleh, to do the mitzvah properly!
(As compared to shiva)

is shiva social? aren't we supposed to help the avel? DH really excels at both these mitzvos. I am not so good at either one. Unless the choleh is not really serioulsy sick and is really close to me.....
