My daughter licks her lips constantly and developed what seems to be an infection on her upper lip (lip and immediately above it). It's very red, swollen to almost double the size, and chapped. Vaseline doesn't seem to help. Can I put bactroban (mupirocin) on her upper lip? TIA.

I think she needs to be seen by the doctor, she might need oral antibiotics.

You could put bactroban on the lips just be careful that she doesn't eat it. She should still show it to a dr.
