Please don't use toilet bowl cleaner in your bathtub. It is not meant for it and will ruin the finish in time. Soft scrub or Mr. clean with a soft brush or nylon net is the way to go.

my cleaning lady uses fantastic spray with bleach and an old soft broom to swish everything around and clean.

Buy a bathroom cleaner spray with bleach. Make the tub wet. Spray. Scrub with scrub brush. Use a rag and the running water to rinse off the cleaner properly.

If you don't like to scrub, buy scrubbing bubbles. Spray. Let sit. Rinse as above with clean rag and running water.

For easy upkeep, buy the no rinse tub cleaner and make sure that every time you finish with a bath or shower you spray while the tub is wet. No need to rinse.

Oh really?
I'm using it for a few years, I actually got the recommendation from IMA.
I'll look for something else.
Thanks.

might depend on whether you have an acrylic or cast iron tub. the acrylic ones lose their finish more easily.

that's what I do too.

I dont like the idea of my kids sitting in a tub cleaned with chemicals. makes me neurotic about the rinsing.

I've found that elbow grease is a must, unfortunately, along with a mild cleaner (like Astonish), def. not toilet bowl cleaner, and a non-abrasive sponge.
One of the reasons I fired my last cleaning lady was because she couldn't (or wouldn't) understand, no matter how many times I showed her, that you need to actually scrub the tub to get the dirt off. AFAIK there is no product here in Israel like Scrubbing Bubbles that does the work for you.
FTR cleaning the tub is my least favorite part of the regular housework.

just remember the more frequently you clean it the less difficult it is to clean because you won't have buildup

I do it with jif and a scrubbing brush every 3-4 weeks.
During the week I do with a scrubbing brush but no soap and my bath is always spotless white!!

I actually prefer cleaning bath to fridge any day....

None of the above.

Just buy a small bottle of alcohol in any drugstore or dollar store, dump some in a clean cloth and rub the bathtub. If you have any old vodka at home, it does the same job.

Alcohol kills all bacterias and has a powerful effect to clean the oils of the body left in the bathtub. It is a natural ingredient, so your bathtub will be super clean and the most important: without chemicals.

I use scrubbing bubbles, either the spray foam or the white thick paste, it smells better than soft scrub. The foam I let sit for a few minutes before wiping and rinsing. After wiping all around, I rinse with the hottest water from the shower, it's a handheld so I can reach everywhere.

this would depend on how much use it gets.

I've got at least 2 kids in the tub every day. sometimes more. plus I have some younger boys who like to play in the dirt, so the tub gets really dirty. cleaning lady cleans the tub 2 x /week and I give it another good wipe down another 2 or 3 times per week. usually I just have to wipe/rub with a wet cloth but if its really dirty I bring out the baking soda.
I'd rather do it more often and not have a major job on my hands than let it sit till its grimy and gross.
