The doctor suspects my 12 month old baby is allergic to wheat (in addition to dairy) and wants her completely off it. Does anyone have any ideas for finger foods I can give her? It is so sad when she wants bread or challah and I can't give her any.

Buy gluten free bread, cookies, pretzels.

Try a health food store or online for kosher products.

cut fruits in a funny way!
grapes are fun, apple like french fries, things like that!

there are also a lot of rice cakes, snacks that are made from rice or from fruits or oatmeal..... is oatmeal ok?

My daughter is allergic to wheat too. I buy spelt bread, challa rolls, macaroni, pretzels... When I bake a cake I use spelt flour. Rice Chex and Corn Chex don't have any wheat or derivitives of wheat.

Good luck.
