We are supposed to be focusing on ourselves, and repenting for ourselves on Yom Kippur. But what is the thought on saying Tehillim for others, (and saying Tehillim in general) on Yom Kippur?

We say "Al chait shechatanu" its plural, we include us all, we clap for sins WE did. We are nohag to say as much Tehillim as we can.
