AUDITIONS! for a new Women's MUSICAL in Brooklyn!

Fundraiser for Brooklyn women’s charity. Original drama using the music of Wicked. Auditions this coming Monday Sept 8, Tues Sept 9 & Weds Sept 10, 10am - 1pm, by appointment. To sign up for audition time, please email ratzonprogram@verizon.net

Wow, this sounds wonderful! I'm certainly not cut out to be in it, but I would love to see it. Can you tell us when and where the performance will be?

and I would want to know which charity this is for before auditioning. (not that I'm going to audition, I have no time for rehearsal. but I think it's important info.)

Not sure, but in the past I know they've worked with Ohel and Rachel's Place.

oh man, tread with caution here please. you guys are tampering with amazing work and I'd hate to see it butchered.

I'm so curious how you'd jewify it. Elphaba is also a jew? makes everyone frum? Fiyero and Elphaba get married? In every Jewish BY play someone gets married, becomes frum, or deathly sick. usually it is all 3.

I'm curiouse, do the orgenizers get the rights to the music before creating a jewish version?

I was wondering the same thing too because I know that it is not "released" yet- meaning it's not allowed to be in theaters that is not officially the wicked company- not like Annie or something which anyone can do

cringe worthy! anyway I am a huge theater snob and I applaud them for giving this nice outlet for women like me who'd love to be in it.

on a side note; I always thought that Newsies would be a piece of cake to Jewify. In fact davy is already Jewish himself in the movie

@duggie: I totally agree and LOL! They shud have consulted w u when adapting!

The truth is I wouldn't even care how ridiculous the adaptation is -- I just wanna be onstage singing those awesome songs! (Fact: Stephen Schwartz is a genius.)

Wow this makes me miss camp and high school... Wish I could be performing again...
