My daughter got a helmet for plaigiocephaley (bad shaped head) anyhow I was promised that based on measurements done by the scanner it would be covered by insurance. About 8mths later I get a call sayi g insurance didn't cover even after all the appeals they did (insurance promised and didn't come through) and wants me to pay 1500 instead of usual 3000. I said u promised otherwise I wud t have done it - it wasn't too bad but I figured if was covered I wud do it. How come u didn't get approval then? He said that the insurance takes 30 days to approve and then they would have to redo the evaluation bec too much time between initial evaluation and helmet and would be costly. I told him that I can't afford this now but would speak to my husband abt this, wwyd?
