My husband is flying next week on a overseas flight. I wanted to know what are the current carry on restrictions recently and do they follow them entirely. If they say only liquids, does that mean that they absolutly wont give him problems with food like salads and sanwiches etc. What has been your recent experiences with this?
I really don't want him to be hungry during his long journey and layover! Can you tell I'm a Jewish women or what?

Go to the TSA website. Basicly liquids like toileteries have to be in containers of less than three ounces and they all have to fit into a quart size ziplock bag. Sandwich is not a problem. I took a whole bag of food with me when we went to Florida two weeks ago. I didn't take bottles of water though. I got those from the flight attendants on the plane.
