was in brooklyn - the streets were strewn with crooked cars, broken windows, scribbled insurance signs ... alternate side of the street parking dismissed ... the ground still full of muck & sand was blowing in the wind to remind us of the recent hurricane ...
strolled to the beach to check out if it looked any different than before the infamy of frankenstorm ... the tide was high and waves were roaring & beckoning me to jump in & so I danced into the crashing waves ... the sun was gloriously kissing my face as I soared around the sandy salty air that I loved right back ... 'twas glorious, breathtaking, exhilarating

Okay, I'm responding to your polar bear thread  . I will iy'h be in NY on new years, but no I will not be joining you by the beach...much too cold!!!

Understandably a high point of a weekend!
I'm not in the area, but always like reading about the polar bear swims around here. The crowd gets bigger every year.
Did you just run in & out again, or did you swim?

oh I put my feet in & then I dug them under the sand - then I ran around & leaped right in & actually swam & then I ran & then I jumped up & down
& then I sang & flew "I will fly on the wings of an eagle - I will fly to a land that is free" 
& lastly I nearly froze on the way running home into a hot shower
