What do you do with leftover cholent.
I was always under the impression people who are destitute, are people who save cholent.
However, my toddler absolutely loves it! So I had an idea to keep the leftovers for dc.
But then that little voice kicks in, and like "YOU, are saving cholent"??
But my mature voice says, your toddler likes it... she will enjoy, why waste?
Any thoughts?

I serve it for dinner during the week. I don't understand this "old cholent=bad" attitude. for goodness sake, it's cooked forever and a day to begin with!

Some would let it in the pot and just re-add new chulent over time
I don't see how saving can be bad. Chulent gets better with time!! *'heimish mode on*

Why throw it out if someone will eat it? As long as it has not sat on the counter all Shabbos till you get around to putting it in the fridge.
Choulent meat (flanken) is so expensive so if I have leftover I almost always save it.
My cleaning lady likes it and will often have it for lunch on mondays.

Don't think so much into it, that's ridiculous! If your toddler likes cholent, don't deprive her just because of some hangup you have.

This week, I froze the leftover meat from my cholent and I am going to try recycling it into next weeks cholent. My sons will eat the leftover cholent. Me, I can't look at it after shabbos.

Our favourite winter supper on Sun/Mon is "beans and potato soup".
aka cholent reheated with extra water and some tinned chopped tomato.
It's quick, tasty, filling, and nutritious. Why waste perfectly good food?

That's why I don't make cholent. Not a big fan on a good day, but to face throwing out all that "good" (?) food makes me crazier. At least I can freeze leftover chicken soup and not gag on mushroom and barley soup or chili if I have to eat it during the week.
