Can anyone advise me:
1)Considering the size of a "normal" chocolate mold--approximately how many can you get from one bag of the Gefen candy melts?
2)I don't have a microwave, but I have a mini-crock pot that I use for melting chocolate, can I use that?
Thanks

Are you using the candymelts to fill the whole mold, or just to "paint" the design?

you can melt chocolates in a double boiler on the stove. Put water in a pot/pan and the chocolates in a smaller pot. Put the smaller pot in the bigger pot with water. This way the chocolate won't burn. Keep the flame low once melted.

I just filled my chocolate molds for purim and the way I melt is really easy and clean. I place the chocolate in a plastic bag and then put the bag in a bowl of boiling water. After it has melted, I snip off a tiny hole at the corner of the bag and pipe the chocolate into the mold. It is the easiest and cleanest method!
