Not necessarily, my husband and I both have blue green, and we have a brown eyed child.
I know other families like this too.

my eyes are big beautiful light brown eyes, with some greenish stuck in.
On the other hand, my dog has green and my cat has blue. So I dont know why my son has brown.
(I was just kidding. I don't own any pets. Its just cute how SO MANY stuck their whole familys' eye color in as well)

I wonder how this works. I remember learning in biology that blue and green are recessive, brown Is dominant, so 2 parents with blue/green cannot have brown or black eyed children. However, my parents have blue and green and us kids all have brown/ black/dark hazel.

I'm not really sure what color my eyes are. Growing up, I was told by my mother that they were hazel, so I always assumed that they were; and that's what I have on my driver's license. , As best I can tell, the outside rim is blue, and the central iris is a yellowish green. Sometimes they give me the impression overall, of being a kind of turquoise color. What would you call them based on my description?

You have to draw the diagram.

Brown...

Oh, no. I think I just gave away my identity.

All my kids have brown eyes (my husband does, my parents do, not sure about my husband's parents). And very, very brown. As in born with brown eyes for everyone but my last one. He has a lighter shade of brown than some of my other kids. We have a range of browns, but all fully brown.
My paternal grandmother did have blue eyes. But I still highly doubt we'll have a blue eyed child because we're just so...brown.

I describe my eyes as chocolate brown. Dh has light brown. Dc1 has chocolate brown and dc2 has light blue.

I'm one of those crazy people who prefers brown eyes.

from afar they look brown but upon close inspection they barely have brown in them at all. the outside rim is green, followed by gold, with brown closest to the pupil.
my license says brown.
anon because I'm probably the only woman in my community with a license, jk.

And I have friends who the parents both have brown eyes and all the kids have blue!! Apparantly it comes from grandparents or something.

But its prob the exception, the cases where blue eyed parents have brown eyed kids, im presuming most blue eyed ( both)parents will have blue eyed kids.

My parents both have brown... but both have blue in the family, or other lights like green. Also my dad's have some hazel green in them.
But dh and I both have blue eyes and it's really rare (if not impossible? but under 1%) for two blue to have dark. Green n grey is a bit more probable.
