Unfortunately my computer crashed and I lost my Pesach shopping list. I know it's early but would like to prepare myself. Does anyone have any sort of Pesach shopping list to help me get on track? Anything would be appreciated.

36 kilo potatoes

May I ask how many people you have for Pesach? That's 80 pounds of potatoes for us Americans -- 10 pounds of potatoes per day. My mind boggles.

Studying Torah, we check dates before we put things away. There was plenty of time left after this coming Pesach according to the used by date, so IY"H it will be fine.

Barbara, we have a lot of people though over yom tov. Each year it is slightly different, but the list is pretty tried and true. It does also include the food we ate for a few days before and after Pesach, so more like 10-11 days in total. If we are feeding 10 people on average a day, then that is labout a pound of potatoes per person. It is our primary food over yomtov. 10 lbs a day would be about two potatoes a day per person, that isn't even as many as I would have expected. Boiled potatoes are eaten as snacks and potato kugel is a daily pesach staple.

I guess we're just not potato people. I don't know if I go through that many potatoes in a year! Then again, no Pesach kugel for us -- no food processor. We keep it all simple -- chicken, meat, soups, lots of veggies, and, of course, matzo pizza. (We will, please Hashem let my Dad be well enough to travel, be 6 or so for the seder, then varying numbers throughout the holiday.)

You may be sorry you asked Very Happy

The main thing is to have a schedule and mine works for me -

My house is pretty big. I have a cleaning lady every other week and she can do one room each time so I start around Rosh Chodesh/Tu B' Shvat. So I'm on schedule cause by Purim all the bedrooms and basement are done (my 2 biggest kids do their own rooms so all the rooms I'm responsible for are done). My kids are big so once a room is done I hang a sign Clean for Pesach and it stays clean - When neighbors walk in on Purim, there's a sign going up the stairs and one doing down and that gets everyone really annoyed with me Very Happy In 2 weeks she'll do the guest room (on ground floor) and the time after she'll do the L/R D/R - we go over them cause it's Pesach and you have to be neurotic but she's good. She'll come an extra 2 hours near the end to do the fridge cause she's a Tzadika (she's not dati but she makes Pesach in 10 houses every year). My oven is easy - self cleaning/self Kashering. The stove top is one close piece so I just wash it with some bleach and cover - grates go in the self cleaning oven.

Now for the lists

This is what I found - they were charts in word but that doesn't work well pasting - BTW - Ruty on my lists is my cleaning lady

Sanguine, I see your kids are brought up well- Ruty's name is barely on your list!

Not making Pesach here yet, but already having palpitations from these lists... Cleaning is... not one of my stronger points Confused

Thank you! No I was not sorry I asked and it won't ruin my purim. I am Bh on schedule with pesach cleaning this year. My bedrooms are done. Just right after purim will start dining room and kitchen. That is when I wanted to see your list because I get nervous usually after purim when pesach is closer already....
