Till now supper has always been macaroni and cheese but now that shabbos is so much later I dont have what to give for supper. Is there any warm food that could stay on the blech that long and still taste good? I cant give leftovers like fish or chulent because they just ate it and are not interested. and my kids wont eat sandwiches any other ideas please?

DS eats leftovers from Friday night. I usually make sure to have an extra piece of chicken on hand and veggies.

I love sueda shlishi - and when we are milchig its even better. We eat it as a family so I find when all the adults are eating the kids are more likely to eat. When shabbos starts getting later we will eat before mincha so bedtime won't be crazy.
Big salad with leftover salmon on top
Cheese 'sandwich' platter, different sliced cheeses, sliced tomato, avocado, lettuce, red onion
Individual Yogurt Parfaits (yogurt, fruit, granola layered)
Avocado and grapefruit salad
Pasta Salads or Linguini Salad or Orzo
Sushi salad (either individual or one large one). Seasoned Sushi rice, cucumber and carrot ribbons and diced salmon with some soy sauce.
Pareve Leftover salads from the other meals (cucumber, Cole slaw, etc)
Pareve apple cobbler or fruit kugel left over from lunch.
Egg Salad or Deviled Eggs (with lots of paprika )
Peanut Butter and Marshmallow Fluff sandwiches
And when milchig we always finish with Dairy Ice cream in cones with choice of toppings!

Avocado and Grapefruit Salad sounds really interesting-- I love avocados and grapefruits. Do you have a recipe you could post?

This based on a recipe in Estee Kafra's cooking with color cook book. (Its about 1/2 the original recipe)
Salad:
Romaine lettuce
pink grapefruit - peel and remove outer membrane from sections
Avocado - peel and cut into wedges (to prepare in advance store in a bowl of oj)
candied or roasted nuts - chopped
Dressing - mix:
1 Tbsp mayo
6 Tbsp olive oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 Tbsp honey
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp orange juice
3/4 tsp kosher salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
I like to serve this on a large platter for a beautiful presentation:
Layer of chopped Romain lettuce covering the plate and then center of the platter alternate overlapping slices of grapefruit and avocado. Pour on dressing and sprinkle with nuts.
It also looks nice plated as an appetizer in a similar fashion.

Thank you so much! That sounds really beautiful and delicious! One question-- I don't really like mayo. Since it's only 1 tablespoon, do you think if I left it out or substituted it with one more tablespoon of oil, it would make a significant difference?

quinoa salad
pickled salmon (lasts in fridge for 2 weeks)
Greek salad
yogurt
Shalosh suedos pizza - I take a large laffa, spread it with cream cheese and sprinkle with diced onion and veggies that I grilled before shabbos. I serve it on a large pizza platter with a pizza cutter. It's a big hit.

You can try leaving it out altogether I think. But I never tried it.
