I see this and Im contemplating....

http://www.amazon.com/Wilton-2.....p+pan

One review says you cant get them out neatly. I hate using the silicone cake pop forms .... something about heat and rubber....

I have something similar to this

http://www.amazon.com/Nordic-W.....p+pan

and I like it an awful lot. Things pop out easily and it's not difficult to clean.

Traditional cake pops are not made with a pan. You make a cake, smash it, mix the crumbs with frosting, roll into balls and coat.

Thanks! I saw it on Amazon but assumed it was silicone because of the light blue color. I just read that its metal.

Can you use any cake recipe (Im thinking of making them with a Pesach brownie or chocolate cake recipe). How do you grease the form?

Mevater, did you ever make them? Did you use an ordinary cake recipe?
