Please help! We are looking into many options but are yet to find a school that suits us.
Ideally, the school is in Manhattan or Brooklyn, but we will consider other NY locations if we must.
We have a 5 year old boy. If I had to define us, I'd say we're MO frum. My husband works, wears jeans/t shirts on weekends, I cover with a hat or fall, wear short sleeves...we watch movies, go to concerts etc.
We do not want a coed school.
We do want a very strong emphasis on good midot, Jewish studies taught at a high level and a solid secular program.
We don't want our child to be from the most frum home in the class, nor considered to be the most modern.
Oh, and we don't want anyone hitting our son!
Any ideas?

Yeshivah Derech Hatorah on Nostrand Ave. in Brooklyn. MO, only boys (there are girls only in the 3 and 4 year old classes), very warm and supportive atmosphere, strong emphasis on both General Studies and Limudei Kodesh. They teach Ivrit and stress love of Medinat Yisrael. My son has been very happy there.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but can anyone recommend a girls school with this exact description?
