Do most rabbis allow or not allow sperm donation for married women? egg donation? Which is easier to get a heter for? Is sperm donation easier for a single woman than a married women to get a heter as someone mentioned? I'm asking about the just plain frum crowd, but it would be intresting to hear what chassidish, lubavich, and other groups say.

You should add a category for donor embryos.

we got a heter for donor eggs, but it must be from a non jewish woman. Our child had to go to the mikva.

Yes - Jewish donor eggs (provided woman is proven Jewish, single, not mamzer)

No - donor sperm (any)

No - donor embryos (any)

My friends got heter for non-Jewish donor embryos from Rabbis at Puah institute.

We discussed situation with our Posek and our Posek was strongly against it.

I know I have an acquaintance who got a yes for either donor egg, or donor embryo (didn't want to push her to tell more obviously) and that the rav said the mother's womb is the mikve (no conversion).

I read on a shaila site that if a surrogate mother carries a Jewish woman's baby, then the baby needs mikve. I'm sure there are plenty opinions?
