We r considering moving there from RBS. Here are my questions:

1)What does rent for a 3 bedroom goes for?

2)How often do buses go to Jlem ? What is the bus line number? Is it Egged?

3)The idea of living in the shtachim makes me nervous ( security wise ) , what can you tell me about it?

I saw there are threads about Tel Tzion but not answering my specific qs,

Thank youooooo!!!

PS: If anyone can invite us for shabbos I would be thrilled! we have 1 toddler.

Why are you leaving RBS? I'm just curious.

Can't answer all your questions, but I know the bus is 143 (or 179, which continues on to Psagot). It is Egged. It's 3.50 NIS one-way, or you can use a Jerusalem cartisiya at regular fare if you need transfers. They come and go about every half hour, sometimes every 20 minutes. Also, it's an adorable place- independent cute kids everywhere and a very homey feel Smile

For rental prices, you can call Yisa Bracha- I believe it's 02-6406666 or *2030. You can ask for places for rent in Tel Tzion, and you can pay something under 200NIS for the listings with contact info, or ask just to see prices and it's free. They send everything except the contact info- so all details about the place, I believe including the street name. They either email or fax you the listing.

Sorry, forgot to mention that Yisa Bracha is something under 200 NIS and it's for 2 months- they send you an updated list every day or so.

We like it here except that the rent is just too expensive ( 3600 for a 2 bedroom ) I am looking for other areas that are similar but with cheaper rent Very Happy

Also bus 144
There is a nice Anglo community in Tel Zion. They often have small events.
(Don't know kochav Yaakov, but I heard it's nice)
I know a few people there...
