Scratch that seems to be a scar on face

my son scratched his brother and now he has a scar on his face from the scratch that wont seem to go away. What can I do? IS this normal for a scratch to stay?

sometimes you need longer healing ... put some vitamin e oil on it to help it along - soon it will begin to fade
