I'm not sure what else there is to say - but in our family - we believe in desserts ... a little something sweet to make a meal complete

We are strong believers of desert.
Pecan pie being my fave and hubby hasn't met a chocolate he didn't like.

(I mean on shabbos only during the week I try to behave)

My children believe in dessert for supper Confused . I try to explain to them that it's not dessert if you don't have supper, so no supper, no dessert.

If supper is salty then definitely needs a dessert. But if it's a sweetish supper like cheese blintzes or something then I don't think there's a need for dessert.

During the week - maybe a fruit or a yoghurt but usually nothing.

On shabbos - yes indeed!

We only do dessert when we have company because they expect it.

Same here. Dessert is a rare treat in our house. Kids manage to get enough junk food without me giving it to them.

Really? Come on, who needs desserts on a regular basis nowadays? We all eat enough junk in our regular foods...

Sometimes we have fruit after a meal, but not often. On Shabbos when we have guests I serve dessert.

I voted yes because I was thinking Shabbos. Funny thing is, no one wants dessert anymore, they're too full.
No, we don't have official desserts during the week, but we do have cookies available, and other snacks that aren't purely healthy. But as the kids get older, they don't go through the stash like they used to.

Definitely not- no dessert during the week- unhealthy and unnecessary.

I'm with your kids on that! Wink
I love dessert and always begged my mother for seconds. Once in a while she would let me have more. She serves dessert every night. She gives compote or cut up fruit and on Shabbos she sometimes makes mousse or pie...yum
