I want a solid wood dining table for my kitchen area. Does anyone have a place to recommend where I can do this?

You put a proposal of what you want (size, materials etc) & various craftspeople will post what they can do for you.
What I did: I bought a sheet of formica finished plywood at Home depot & had them cut to the size I wanted. They also sold a formica tape (1/4 or 1/2 wide) which I attached around the sides.
Then I bought a pedestal base at a dinette place for $60. Or it might have been $30.
I did this bec. I wasn't sure what size table I wanted, & did not want to invest til I tried it out. It's still going strong about 20 years later.
