We need to chose tiles or other flooring for the front entryway in our new house (vestibule type of area). What style/color/floor type do most ppl do?? I don't think I've ever noticed!!!

This area of the house gets a lot of traffic (think muddy wet shoes..) you need to be practical. You want a floor that could handle frequent wash downs - I wouldn't recommend hardwood floors, since you will need to refinish it about once a year.
I have ceramic tiles that has a nice marblized design. The design hides the dust and dirt caused by foot traffic.
