I made it as well and it was really yummy.
Just as an aside, I rolled out the dough pretty flat and yet it was still pretty thick after baking. Next time I'll have to try to make it even flatter.
And yes, I realized the flower was appropriate, which is why I also made an apple rose pie, try that one once it's so pretty!

But made it into one big pie, not individual. It looks more like this.
It's also great for rosh hashana. And be sure to use really red apples so the roses come out looking red as well.

Such an awesome idea, baba! Maybe I'll try that for Rosh Hashana because of the apples! Why don't you post that idea separately as well so everyone can see it if they don't read this thread?
