In the manual for the city select it says to only use the seat starting 6 months.
I understand that in general it is best for baby to be flat. The best way to accomplish that is in a bassinet.
However most babies spend their first 6 months in their car seats which is not great for them. However because of convenience most us use a snap n go system until about 6 months.
So I have 2 questions:
1) if the baby is not using a bassinet is it better to be in the car seat or the seat of a stroller (specifically city select) or they are the same?
2) at what age did you start putting your baby in the seat of the city select?

If the seat is reclined enough that the head isn't flopping around (and you can use an insert to help with that), and the harness holds the baby in securely, I can't see a problem with using the seat. They probably just don't want the liability of stupid people thinking newborns can be sitting up or whatever. Definitely better than car seat positioning.
