Hi,
I want to make a Strawberry shortcake trifle for dessert for anniversary coming up this week. I need it to be pareve. I googled a few recipes and combined them. Can anybody help me perfect this?? I am not the best cook so I am not overly confident making up my own recipe.

Strawberry shortcake Trifle
Cake:
Large frozen pound cake
Strawberry glaze:
3/4 cup sugar (taste)
4 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
4 1/2 tablespoons strawberry gelatin (recommended: Jell-O)
1 1/2 cup water
3 cups fresh strawberries, Sliced
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, stir together sugar, cornstarch, and gelatin; add water. Cook stirring over medium heat until thick. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely. Fold in strawberries
Custard:
2 Cups cold milk (substitute: Almond milk or vanilla eden soy)
1 Pkg Instant Vanilla pudding
1 pkg tofutti cream cheese softened
2 tsp almond extract
1 carton frozen whipped topping (divided)
Directions:
In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft-set. Beat in cream cheese and extract until smooth. Fold in 2 cups whipped topping.
Assembly:
Place 1 layer of cake in a large clear bowl. Top with a layer of glaze, followed by a layer of custard mixture. Repeat layering in this order for remaining cake, glaze and custard. Top cake with 3 whole fresh strawberries and fresh mint leaves.
