If you want to be bothered, you could have a dressmaker replace a plum dress's lining with a black lining. Then, use the removed plum colored lining to craft sleeves and neck fill-in.
It would be a color match, because it came with the dress.
The black lining wouldn't show, and wouldn't startle anybody if it was glimpsed. You will probably be wearing black stockings and black shoes anyway.
If there is left-over lining material, she could make you a stole, or hair ribbons, out of it.
Lining material is silky looking.
