my 3.5 yo DS has something on his cheek for about a week now. it looks the same as it did a week ago, like a black & blue mark. I originally thought it was dirt, but after scrubbing it, realized its not. when I push it in, he says it doesnt hurt, which makes me feel like its not a regular black & blue mark... he doesnt recall banging his cheek anywhere. what could it be?
anon because I was discussing this with family members

Ask the ped on the phone. Maybe send a phone photo. The doc will want to know if there are any other such marks anywhere else on your child. Also if he is eating, sleeping, and seeming generally well.

This wouldn't concern me. If it's not changing at all in another week you can check it out.
