I am going to LA in September, and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a hotel to stay at. My main concern is that we are near places for breakfast, preferably within walking distance. As well if anyone has any Milchig Cholov Yisrael and Fleishig restaurant recommendations that would be very helpful as well.

http://www.marriott.com/hotels.....hills

The above hotel is within walking distance to 20-30 Kosher Establishments. Starting from a 5 minute walk away until a 30 minute walk away.

Breakfast:

Ralph's - has a large kosher section including Cholov Yisroel milk (They charge like a $ or so more per bottle of milk), a bakery and takeaway.

Fish Grill - In the same complex as Ralph's - delicious fish dishes.

Nagila Pizza

Nagila Meating place

Pico Glatt Mart - Kosher Market (Not Glatt Mart)

Schnitzly

The Milky Way - check for opening times, I believe just for lunch and dinner.

Pat's - Fleishig

Shanghai - Chinese Fleishig

Chic n'chow

Eilat Bakery and cafe - Milchig approx 10 minute walk from the Marriot

Meshuga 4 Sushi

Holy Cow - Milchig Ice cream, cheesecakes and Panini's and the likes

Jeff's - Best deli in town

Bibi's Warmstone bakery - Milchig approx 10 minute walk from the Marriot

Livonia kosher market - Next door Bibi's

Delice - French Bakery and cafe approx 25 minute walk from the Marriot - delicious!

Trattoria Natalie - Milchig Restaurant approx 20 minute walk from Marriot

and there are many many more.............

Thanks so much! I came across the Wilshire Crest Hotel while doing some research and it says they have kosher breakfasts. Do you know the hotel?

The Wilshire Crest is not in any of the Jewish communities, but it is not a far drive to either the Pico-Robertson or La Brea/ Hancock Park community. I don't know anything about it. People who want to be in the Pico-Robertson area tend to stay at the Carlyle Inn, Crown Plaza, Mr. C Hotel, or Residence Inn by Marriott Beverly Hills. If you are not staying for shabbat and don't mind driving to the restaurants (versus walking) then you can be more flexible about where you stay. Check out airbnb if you are interesting in staying in a house or apartment.

Most of the restaurants are in the Pico-Roberston area but there are a few options in the La Brea/Hancock Park area. The distance between the two areas is about a 20-40 minute drive depending on traffic.
