Want to just make 2-3 challos. Can I take my recipe and cut in half?
How does it work with the yeast if recipe calls for 3 Tbs yeast and I have packets. How would I do that in half recipe?
How do I do half of 3 eggs?
TIA

I make half of 5 pounds every week.
I use 2 eggs instead of 3. I don't know your recipe, but there is a way to convert packets to tablespoons (google it)
And in my experience, I need 9 cups of flour.

Use a hole egg and a white, use the yolk with a drop of water to paint!

Thanks!
Came out yummy. I never make challah so was a real treat!
It made 5 small loaves which ended up being too much still and have leftovers.
What to do with challa leftovers? (Doesn't stay fresh long and no freezer space)

french toast&bread pudding they actually call for stale bread or challa, use chocolate chips instead of raisins and everyone is your best friend!

You can definitely do it! Use either 2 or 3 eggs, and halve everything else. It works!
