Any time they may get dirty. For sure, when I make challah.

I use my (freshly washed) hands a lot for cooking, so I have a special place I keep my rings during that time.

why is this in kosher kitchen?

I take off my rings when im doing something that will get them dirty (except when I forget) like challa, rolling cookies or cleaning chicken. I dont for peeling veggies or things like that. Otherwise I almost always were my rings- in the shower, for washing dishes, at night- only other time I generally take them off is for washing.

Every time I handle raw chicken, any type of dough, peel squash, etc... any time my hands will get dirty. (And every time I wash for bread.)

Why isn't there an option for at least once a day?!

I don't wear my rings at home. I take them off as soon as I get home. I once closed the closet door on my finger and my diamond ring got bent out of shape. I decided it's not worth it while doing housework.

Can you imagine what would've happened to your finger had you not been wearing your ring?

Perhaps it would have been more prudent to decide it's not worth doing housework?

Always for cooking. Usually for typing (using computer) which I do much of the day. And, for the last 2 days, I can't find them!

Of course. That was my positive thought in that klutzy moment!

Definitely true. Which idiot would choose housework over rings?? Everyone knows I love wearing rings, way more than doing housework. Oh well.

My rings never ever come off-except for mikvah obviously.

I wear mine to the beach, pool, sleep, shower, gym, bike riding...

I do take them off whenI knead challah

I built a special little drawer in my hall closet for my watch, rings n earrings, all of em get taken off before I even get to the top step! Very Happy

(It even has a key that's on my keyring for safety purposes)
