Toddler has been raiding the fridge/freezer whenever possible lately. All the "child safety locks" are worthless. I am at my wits end with this!!

I feel that I have no choice but to go with something "heavy duty"- meaning that it shouldn't be easily opened or overriden.

Google search turned up this:

http://www.lockthefridge.com/

or this:

http://www.amazon.com/Refriger.....locks

Both have their pros and cons of course but I wonder if anyone has tried either. Any advice or other tips?

In general, what other methods has anyone tried successfully to deter this behavior?

We had one that worked for a while but now my 3.5 year old with fine-motor delays can do it. I'm also stuck as both of my kids are milkaholics and keep bringing the milk from the fridge.

One like one of of the links I posted or some other one geared for children? These 2 links seem to be geared for adults (with Autism, Alzheimers etc).

My toddler has given us a really hard time with this. she broke the first 2 fridge locks. so far we're doing great w the one I have now. It looks like a strap w buckle. she had ripped it right off at first cuz the adhesive wasnt strong enough. but I crazy glued it and we've been great for a few weeks now.

I don't have a side by side fridge/freezer. Seems like a good idea though.

The best one is the appliance lock made by Munchkin. I've had mine for over 6 months and it's holding strong. Great on drawers & cabinets too.
