I had prepared a quiche and brownies for my husband. a neighbor sent over some stuff that she had baked today.

Warm drink (maybe coffee) or milk with some sort of baked good. I made a cinnamon cake and blueberry muffins, so I'll eat one of those.
After the stomach relaxes (maybe 30 min or so later), I'll serve soup with fresh baguette.
Not good to eat too much after a fast.

Abcd123 just wanted to give you a huge thank you for linking the cinnamon bun recipe. It is absolutely heavenly! Came out of the oven half hour ago and is halfway gone!

asmileaday and Abcd123

Did you make the cinnamon buns using butter or did you use margarine or shortening to make it pareve.

Can't decide which way to make them.

Definitely go with the butter. I think that's what gave it this out of this world taste and texture. Also I did not scald the milk and it was just fine. And I did not let it rise once it was in the pan. I put it straight into the oven.

Butter for sure. Dairy pastries are so much better so I always do dairy when I can. That's not too often though.

That sounds lovely! Do you make the baguettes yourself? I'm actually looking for a recipe high and low. Do you have one?
