My son, age 6, has been diagnosed with ADHD recently. Are there any books you ladies can recommend on ADHD? I'm not very familiar about ADHD and want to become more informed about what my child is going through, so I can better help him and get him the appropriate services.

I like driven to distraction and the other books by Edward Hallowel.
Also all kinds of minds by Mel Levine.

Not specifically about ADHD, but the book that has helped me the most with my ADHD kids is "Transforming theDifficult Child: The Nurtured Heart Approach," by Howard Glasser.
I like the Hallowell books, too.
You can go to the library and take out a whole bunch of different books on the subject. Forming your own opinion is often good.
