I always hand write my letters to my children in camp even though my penmanship is awful(and lots of stickers on the envelope). My friend says she is typing hers and her mother typed her letter to her. Do you think the kids care how their letters come to them?

Personally, I type my letters. I find it easier, quicker - and its easier on my hands. Since computers have taken over my life, writing a long letter has gotten a lot more difficult!
That said, I do think its nice that a kid has something with their moms handwriting on it... birthday cards / notes etc... I only have a few things that my mom wrote to me, and they're very precious to me... I wish I had more.
BUt for the sake of long letters to camp - I just think typing is way easier.
as for kids - I doubt they care at this point.

Handwritten ones are more personal. I write them myself.

I handwrite. mostly because I feel its more personal that way, but also because its easier for me.
I do also email on thursday nights so she gets something on friday before shabbos, those obviously, are typed and printed out by the camp office.
so I'd have to vote 'both'
