What are some heartfelt, soul-stirring songs appropriate for tisha b'av? Here are some that come to mind:

shifchi kamayim libeich
im eshkacheich yerushalayim
al har tzion
u'macha Hashem dim'ah

What are some others?

Thanks everyone! Yes English songs included. Any really nice song. I love having some really nice songs handy to sing when I'm in that mood. Previous poster what do you mean you're trying to find it? On youtube?

I think there are three im eshkacheich's that I know: Shlomo Carlebach, Yaakov Shwekey, and Lev Tahor's- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARikT-8lKos. Is it any of those?

Thanks for your help... those are all beautiful but they are not the tune I'm thinking of. Truth be told, I'm not even sure it's im eshkachech. My sister thought it might be. It's just a very, very common tune used for kedusha - I've heard it in many different shuls/ yeshivos.

I find it stuck in my head at times and at other I forget how it starts, so that's why I'm trying to find it. Anyway, thanks for trying... the search continues!

This is a very typical mimkomcha used for kedusha...it's Shlomo Carlebach's:

Is that it?

Yes, this is it! I thought it was Carlebach but every time I searched for it, a different tune popped up. Thanks so much, I'm really excited.

Oh ok great!! I know, he has 2 mimkomchas. The other one is old old ('vintage') and this one is the more classic one. You might be able to find a better recording of this one on youtube if you search, as this one isn't so great. I didn't spend that much time on it but I imagine there might be other videos of this song that are better quality. Enjoy!
