To watch with DH. Our rule now is either cartoon or documentary but we've kind of watched everything....
Are there any clean comedies, action movies, or the like that you can recommend? I don't especially like old movies which according to reviews on the web, seem to be the cleanest movies....I'd prefer more recent films.

What's your definition for "clean"?
Romantic subplots are okay as long as there's no s-x scenes? Violence is okay as long as it's not gratuitously gory? Are swear words absolutely not okay, or is it okay if there's one or two four letter words (or words like cr*p/d*mn that are considered less offensive, but I still wouldn't want my kids to hear)? Do you want utterly G and PG rated stuff?
Give me some examples of stuff you liked.

Captain Phillips is awesome but it's scary. I don't know what you consider clean. Dh thinks anything without women in it is kosher like family guy or even stepbrothers (although there is male nudity)
