I told my dd that I was going out to mail something. She asked, why do you have to go out, mail it from home?!
For those of you who can't figure it out, I had to mail a piece of paper. It was not something I could scan and send. I wish because it takes about ten days to get there and once they get, around 30 days for it to be processed!

If you put it in the mailbox with the flag up, wont the postal worker pick it up from your house?
If I was her, that's what I would have meant…
My family always mailed things from the post office, and I never understood why.

We actually still deliver a lot of mail to the mailbox. My kids love writing and recieving letters- now when there are kids they can write to in camp. Getting an email or scan isn't the same.

I have only ever seen such a mailbox in the country villages where you have 3 houses 2 miles apart from each other and that is the whole village.
In all other places there are mailboxes.

In Monsey the mail carriers pick up your mail from your house's mailbox.

I live in argentina and the mail is nothing like in the states. I was also mailing something to the states, so I had to see how much it cost.
