I have a tub of maxi health omega 3 capsules. they were so expensive!! expired in april 2014. would you throw them out? they smell pretty bad but as dh said, they always smelled bad.
what do you think?

I don't know if it's dangerous, but expired vitamins lose their potency (sometimes by as much as 20%). It's pretty pointless to make your liver and kidneys work so hard for some that may no longer be effective. I guess you could also call the health food store.

In general it should still be fine. However, omega 3 capsules are filled with fish oil. You may be ingesting rotten fish.
