I am travelling on a Southwest flight and will be bringing a cooler filled with frozen meat, cheese etc.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Should I carry the cooler on, or check it inside of a peice of luggage?

Please let me know. Thanks!

Definitely check it. The cargo hold isn't temperature controlled and it gets quite cold at high elevations. That will help keep your food frozen.
