Sandals with socks - no way!
These are practically sneakers so I think they go with socks.

this is interesting to me since I am so out of it.
So I'm wondering ...does it look bad when my 2 yr old wears socks with crocs?

I'm not going to force him to wear shoes without socks, I'm just debating if it's worth buying the shoes in the first place if he's going to look very nerdy in them. I know it's at least mildly nerdy I just can't decide if it's really nerdy. |
I think it is nerdy if you to care about those rules!! I even thought that was what this threas was about...

I used to work in a preschool and I never, ever noticed whether the children looked "nerdy" or not or if they wore socks with sandals. And I love fashion.
I always thought it was more practical for them to wear socks anyway because sometimes the straps will rub on their foot and bother them and even cause a blister. And socks kept their feet more clean.
The only time I ever thought a child's clothes reflected badly on the parent was when the clothes were obviously very, very worn, unkempt and tattered.

Exactly.
And even then, only if there are signs the family has money.
