I love the plastic sealants they paint onto the tooth surfaces, as a prevention, before the kid ever gets any cavities. This sealant, like spackle, smooths out and fills in the craggy surface of the teeth, so the kid can't get cavities in those valleys.
Otherwise they are going to happen. No brush can clean those little valleys.
The main thing is the kid not hate going to the dentist, or feel guilty.
