Getting rid of cricket noises

Ok. I had enough.
They are driving me CRAZY!

How in the world do I get rid of the constant cricket chirping outside my door and window???
It must be what our LH sounds like to G-d!

We had it IN the house a few weeks ago. It drove me crazy!
But eventually it goes away. I guess they die. I did not find any good remedy. Someone said "get a cat" - we have one and she ignored the cricket(s) .

Others told me it is a sign of good luck. Yeah my good luck to go around like a zombie for lack of sleep.

Just {{ hugs}} and hope it gets cold soon.

windows are closed.
earplugs are enticing but need to hear if baby wakes up
no cats.... not in this house!
those crickets are at it again.... maybe they're bringing good news to our house??? Would be nice tho im one of those ppl tht goes nuts from beepin g noises and constant chirping and chattering!

(lol- dh just sat up in bed as Im typing this and said "those crickets are nuts!" he had no clue Im thinking the same thing!)

It's pretty cool. Did you know that the space between each chirp of the crickets can tell you the temperature outside? Count how many chirps you hear in 14 seconds. Then add 40. This will give you the temperature outside in Fahrenheit. Once I heard that, I started finding the noise entertaining, sort of. Plus it's a reminder of summer!!
