My 18 month old son started going to playgroup and ive been sending him a cream cheese sandwich for lunch but he doesnt really like it.. Was curious what other ideas there r other than sandwiches to send with him .. What do u send ur toddler for lunch...?

my toddler hates sandwiches so I give pizza bagels or homemade pizza, noodles, yogurt, fish sticks/tuna. You can try to give other snacks that are more sandwich-like, put peanut butter on crackers if he won't eat a peanut butter sandwich, give cheese slices. if you give protein snacks, fruits, and veggies, the sandwich doesn't matter as much. toddlers will get tired of having the same thing for lunch every day so try to vary it - one day sandwich, one day noodles, etc.
every sunday, I make 2 boxes of noodles for the week and give it to her a couple of times in the week

last year DS had PB on 1/3 of a pita

this year he has PB on WW bread and leaves the crust.

(thank hashem so far no PB allergies in his playgroup)

next year he will hopefully have school lunches and it wont be an issue anymore Smile

my toddler is not into bread.

We send leben (with a straw)

american cheese

plain pasta (kids this age will eat it with their hands)

crackers

juice
