Would you put white and off-white together to make an outfit? For example, would a white shirt go well with an off-white jacket?

Generally no, but it would depend on the exact shades

I don't think it would be easy to pull off if you weren't some kind of stylist or serious fashionista.

I think it depends on the specific clothing. it also depends on the rest of the outfit. I have an off-white dress I wear with a white shell. it's really nice. it could be nice with a peach/coral skirt. I wouldn't wear it with a dark color.

The white will make the off white look dingy and dirty.

Maybe if you put black or navy in between them. You need to make them be three different colors because they are.

This. It shouts "trying to look put-together but not making it".

If you're tall and gorgeous and wearing a runway outfit, it'll work. On regular people, not so much.
