I can't decide which sewing machine to buy. There is absolutely so much out there to choose from.
The Brother CS6000i seems to be a top selling model and the Singer stylist 7258. Or the singer 9960 quantum.
I like the embroidery idea. But mainly need for sewing clothes and alterations. Was not planning on spending more than $250. If you bought one in the past 2 yrs please share with me the pros and cons. Thanx!

I love my Brother Laura Ashley sewing machine for under $200. Available at Amazon. It's not an embroidery machine and has lots of bells and whistles.

That's almost identical to my SQ-9000. I've had it for a couple years in I like it. It has way more stitches than I need, 80! I've only used the embroidery to put he's name and number on his scarf. It's very user friendly. It was over $100, under $200
